Manage workspaces
Create or switch workspaces, accept or decline invitations, and work in the correct scope.
A workspace is the boundary that keeps resources, members, and access decisions together. Select the correct workspace before acting so an operation is not applied to the wrong resource.
Prerequisites
- An invitation to a workspace or a role that can manage workspaces.
- The same identity used for the invitation and for the portal sign-in.
Create a workspace
If the create option is available for your account, open the new-workspace flow, enter its visible name, and save it. The new workspace then appears in the selector; add members and resources in that scope.
Switch workspace
- Open the workspace selector in the portal.
- Select the workspace where you will work.
- Confirm that the resource and member lists changed to that scope.
Accept or decline an invitation
- Open the pending invitation and verify the workspace name.
- Accept or decline the invitation.
- If accepted, check the assigned role; it determines which actions and resources are available.
Result
Changing workspace scope changes the resource, session, and audit views with it. Scope does not grant extra authority; authority comes from the member role.
Troubleshooting
If an invitation is missing, verify the signed-in identity. If the workspace is missing, ask an administrator to confirm your membership.
