Assign resources
Assign a member the resource and session scope they need.
An assignment connects a member only to the ready resource and work surface they need. The protocol belongs to the resource; review role, resource scope, and session policy together. Complete the connection agent flow first for Windows Agent resources; this guide covers resources defined manually or through a gateway.
Prerequisites
An active membership, a prepared resource, and a role that can assign resources are required.
Make an assignment
- In Resources, open the ready manual or gateway resource and go to Access in its details.
- Choose the active member. A pending-invitation member cannot be assigned.
- Set timed access when needed, then create and save the assignment.
- After the assignment exists, use its actions to apply read-only work or other session policies, then confirm it appears in the member’s resource list.
An assignment does not grant workspace administration. See roles and responsibilities and session policies for those boundaries.
Result
The member sees the selected resource in their resource list and can start a session within the assigned policy.
